A Harder Place to Leave 2011 is the newest release from the Broken Chair Band. The cd was to debut at the 130th Reunion on the Blue River in July, AZ but the Wallow Fire evacuated the area. he title tract 'A Harder Place to Leave' gives a snapshot about the Jones' family that homesteaded the Blue River back in the 1880's. LOL! with the tale of the Club Car Wranglers, and cry a tear to love lost in 'Coldest Day in Paradise', and swoon to the chick song 'Partners'. Some of the pristine area on the Blue River has been ravaged by the wild fires, but the land and people are both resilient. Already with the monsoon rains new grass can be seen even where the fires burned hot down through the canyon. Work in Progress 2009 Work in Progress is aptly named as it has been in the works since 2006. The project lapsed momentarily while Todd and Melinda were blessed with the birth of their daughter. All of the songs are inspired by various trevails, incredible blessings, and the wisdom gained while navigating some perilous trails chosen. Track 7 on the cd 'Can't Stop Progress' sums up the whole cd... 'you can't stop progress, no matter how you try, you can pick up the pieces, after it rolls by...
